TEMPERATURE SENSORS
Resistance Thermometers are used in the place where precise temperature measurement is required in the industry. It is based on the variation of the electrical resistance of the conductor depending on the temperature. A resistance detector wrapped in thin platinum or nickel wire insulated in enamel, glass or ceramic is used as conductor. The detector provides 100 ohm resistance output at 0ºC. Temperature is determined by measuring the increasing or decreasing values of the resistance depending on the temperature. Copper, silver or nickel-chrome connection wires are added to both ends of the resistance detector. -It can be used from 200ºC to +850ºC. Analogue output information is obtained with PT100 sensors in accordance with EN60751 and evaluated in the automation system.
